Public Notice: Joint Commission

The Joint Commission conducts unannounced accreditation surveys of all VISN 9 facilities including:

Joint Commission Reports

All VISN 9 facilities are fully Joint Commission accredited with reaccreditation survey due in 2010. Memphis and Louisville have already successfully completed their 2010 Joint Commission survey and all information for each site is available by clicking on the following links.

What is the Purpose of the Survey?

The purpose of the survey is to evaluate the organization's compliance with nationally established Joint Commission standards. The survey results will be used to determine whether, and the conditions under which accreditation should be awarded the organization. Joint Commission* standards deal with organization quality, safety-of-care issues, and the safety of the environment in which care is provided.
